Lviv is an open air museum, embodiment of the Ukrainian culture and European charm, unforgettable panoramas and unique monuments of architecture, old traditions and, surely, flavored coffee in the legendary Lviv coffee houses. Guests are charmed by the special atmosphere of majestic calmness reigning in the city and pleasantly striking hospitality of local habitants.
Lviv is the city of numerous old universities, unique scientific establishments and archives, famous libraries and museums. You can stroll about quiet streets, each time opening something new and interesting for yourself.
ST. YURA'S CATHEDRAL

St. Yura’s cathedral is the main Greek Catholic cathedral in Lviv. It’s one of the best architectural ensembles of the Ukrainian late baroque. The complex consists of St. Yura’s cathedral, metropolitan palace, bell tower, fence with the two gates “from the market” and “from the city”. The cathedral is decorated with unique plastic stone carving and monumental sculpture.
OPERA HOUSE

The academic state theater of opera and ballet named after Solomiya Krushelnytska is definitely an architectural gem of Lviv. It is considered one of the most luxurious theaters of Europe. Grandeur and perfection of structure are striking. Yet greater delight is aroused by the theater interior: it is decorated with multicoloured marble and gilt.
ORGAN HALL

The House of Organ and Chamber Music (the former church of saint Maria Magdalena) is Lviv cultural establishment, founded in 1960. The church of saint Maria Magdalena was built in the period from 1600 to 1612. The church got its present form in 1870. The elements of Baroque and Renaissance are combined in the architecture of the building.

The Lviv historical museum, founded in 1893, is one of the oldest museums of Ukraine.
The museum contains over 300 thousand exhibits. All sights and exhibits of the Lviv historical museum are placed in several buildings.

- Department of ancient world and Middle Ages history;
- Museum of Bandinelli;
- Armoury.
THE MUSEUM OF BEER

The first museum of brewing in Ukraine, with an area of over 500 square meters, is located in the building of the ÕIX century. There is an exclusive collection of various exhibits among which you can see antique beer mugs with trade marks stamped on glass, beer beakers, made in various styles and brought from different European countries, recipe books of the XIX century. Guests can visit the tasting room where everyone can taste legendary drink and get souvenirs.
MARKET SQUARE (PLOSHCHA RYNOK)

Market Square, located in the city’s heart “within the walls”, is the center of trade and social activity in the city. In the Middle Ages there was brisk trade. Stone scales, punishment pillory, fish pool were located on the square. The building of city council – Ratusha - has been situated at all times in the square’s center. There are forty-five buildings on the square, forty-five monuments of architectural value - it is the unique museum in the open air, visual history of Lviv architecture.
Every building has its own interesting history. You can see the most ancient constructions, in their original form, are the Renaissance buildings: “ Black Stone Building ”, “Kornyakt Palace”.
