Stritennia (“Encounter”), the choir of the Ukrainian Catholic University, visited Armenia and Georgia for two weeks in August 2004. At the invitation of Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, apostolic nuncio to Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan, and Catholicos Karekin II, head of the Armenian Apostolic Church, students and staff members of UCU came to the Caucasus.
During the visit, UCU Rector Fr. Borys Gudziak met with both the Armenian catholicos and Catholicos Ilia II, patriarch and head of the Orthodox Church of Georgia.
