Spiritual life is an important part of the formation of the University's community
and so the UCU has a vice-rector's office for spiritual and pastoral matters.
The Vice-rector, Fr. Dr. Michael Kwiatkowski, and other staff of the
vice-rector's office take active part in directing the University and organizing
its daily life.
The activities of the spiritual-pastoral department have the following concrete
goals:
to unite the University community with a daily liturgy, common retreats (at
least once a year), pilgrimages and other activities;
to encourage students and staff to take part in social service organizations
(the student service organization "Echoes", Faith and Light, Caritas,
Maltese Cross and others)
to encourage the spiritual growth of members of the community through confession,
the sacraments, spiritual direction.
Currently there are 10 priests on staff at the University and many authorities
in the Church are invited to work together with them.
