The Chair of Philosophyconsists of ten teachers of philosophy, psychology,
sociology, and pedagogy. In its educational and pedagogical activity the department
has the following goals: to overcome the social marginalization of philosophy
caused by the previously prevalent Marxist ideology, to meet the challenges
connected with the appearance of new paradigms in modern philosophic thought,
to find ways of effective dialogue between reason and faith.
The activity of the chair is an example of the effective cooperation of representatives
of different philosophic trends and traditions united by a common desire to
come to know reality and to live according to the truth.
